Day 7 of potato harvest brought plenty of challenges! 🚜 We moved into a sandy field, and before long, we had trucks getting stuck, broken equipment, and pieces of old metal buried in the ground causing problems with the potato harvester. It was one thing after another!

I spent much of the day packing down the sandy ground with the tractor and pulling stuck trucks out of the field with our Yankum Ropes. We also dealt with broken drive lines, plugged conveyor chains, and plenty of repairs. The good news? This field is producing some beautiful potatoes, and it might end up being one of our best-yielding fields of the season!

After a long day of digging, we moved our potato cellar equipment and got everything set up at our final storage locations. We even got the conveyors running and started filling another huge potato cellar before calling it a night.

With a beautiful Idaho sunset to finish the day, it was a long one, but we're making progress! We still have about two weeks of harvest left, and I'm bringing you along for every day of it.
