Day 8 of potato harvest turned into a long one! We spent most of the day fighting our way through some extremely sandy ground, pulling stuck potato trucks, and trying to keep the harvest moving. Between trucks getting stuck, equipment getting damaged, and metal and rocks jamming up the harvester, it seemed like one thing after another!

We also got a look at something pretty special. While waiting for trucks, I sent the drone over to check out another operation running two brand-new 8-row windrowers and a 4-row harvester, digging an incredible 20 rows at a time! We even got a close look at a brand-new John Deere 8RX 540 that's still being tested.

We didn't quite get the field finished before calling it a night, but we're getting closer to putting this sandy field behind us!
