Today we’re cutting seed potatoes and showing exactly how potatoes are planted! Most people don’t realize potatoes are grown from other potatoes, not tiny seeds. We take special seed potatoes, cut them into pieces with eyes, treat them, and get them ready for planting season.

We also had to work through breakdowns, adjust the cutter, fix conveyors, and keep loads moving while trying to hit the perfect seed size. It was a busy day in the cellar, but we got it running smooth.
