Welcome back to another episode of Rocky Mountain Farmer! Today, Christopher and I are heading out to pick up wheat seed, but I’m stuck in the world’s slowest truck—floored at 35 mph! We take the backroads to the mill, manage to get loaded up (50,000 lbs!), and thankfully make it back without a breakdown.

While Christopher gets started planting, I head over to get one of the houses ready for our awesome crew from Mexico. We run into some plumbing issues with a toilet and a dryer vent that needs fixing, thanks to a sand-clogged water line and a ripped hose. Quick trip to the store, some tinkering, and we’re back in business!

Oh—and I share a fun little story about a 40-foot tall Christmas tree that started growing from an old holiday tree someone stuffed in a post hole decades ago.

Manure is still being hauled non-stop, and I’ll be jumping in the truck tomorrow to help finish up the last big field. For now, I check out the mess at the dairy and update you on our soggy spring manure challenge.
