This Should NOT Be Happening to Our Potatoes Again!

8.00pm - Friday 13th June 2025 11,421

It’s a sunny, breezy day on the farm, and we’re back at it moving potatoes out of the cellar. We ran into some odd hydraulic issues with the transloader, but we’re still making progress. These spuds have been in storage too long and are starting to get soft and sprout, so it’s good to finally see them go. We got two trucks loaded—even fit everything in, which I didn’t think would happen!

Meanwhile, Titan Machinery stopped by to pick up one of our loaders for pin repairs, and we’re prepping a brand-new gravel road to stack our hay bales. Josh is out smoothing it with the field plane, and it’s shaping up well.

This is our first year baling hay instead of doing silage, so stay tuned to see how it all plays out. If all goes well, the next video will be full of baler action and stacking bales!

Thanks for watching, I appreciate all of you! Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and stay tuned for more from the Rocky Mountain Farmer.
