We're back hauling hay, but this time we've got some challenges to deal with. Rain hit right after we started baling, leaving a lot of the hay too wet to finish. Our baler and rake tractors both broke down, so we're working with what we've got to keep things moving. In today’s video, I load and unload hay using our loaders, stack bales with proper spacing to avoid spontaneous combustion, and even take my first solo drive in the semi to help finish hauling the last loads. After that, we get our irrigation pivots fired back up to keep the potato fields from drying out in the summer heat. I also explain why we stack bales with gaps and how we test them for moisture and feed quality. If you enjoy real-life farming and want to see what it takes to grow quality hay and potatoes, you’ll enjoy this one. Be sure to subscribe and join the RMF Club to win weekly sticker giveaways!
